Rattle making
Start some shift!
This class is a 2 session commitment to create and finish your rawhide rattle.
Class 1 to form the head of the rattle.
Class 2 to voice and decorate it.
In the meantime, you can find a stick or bone for the handle and other items (Feathers, beads, paint)
to decorate it.
Drum Bag
You CAN take it with you!
As requested, we will be creating a drum bag workshop.
There are special preparations required in advance of this class to create your own custom bag.
My drum bag, pictured here, was gifted to me by my drum teacher many years ago. Several students have asked to have a class to make their own bag. In this class, I will offer my assistance and a pattern you can keep. You must provide the materials for your bag which may include leather, fabric, fur, etc. My teacher used a rabbit coat that she found in a second-hand store. This is something you may want to seek out before this class. The furs I have seen in second hand stores are usually quite inexpensive. Leather jackets may be found there as well.
Now is the time to plan ahead for materials. Contact me and we can get a date set for the class.
